'Whimsical Meeting"

Kay it has been forever since I wrote any poetry, let alone a love poem... Jeeze I am quite rusty, matter a fact, it gets almost a little dark at the end. But eh, dark is what I am good at.

Whimsical meeting
could this be true
laughing, mind reeling
have I fallen for you?

Heart that was frozen
Stone cold in ice
you I have chosen,
but to trust is my vice

Beating now thudding
my heart in my chest
spinning, world's turning
your hand on my breast

Blest be the day
I take that leap
love finds a way
for true love is deep

No matter how often
I say I don't care
I wait for the gent
who thinks I am fair

To melt through the ice
circumstance created
A love that is wise
A love that is fated

Could this be true,
this whimsical meeting?
Have I fallen for you,
or is my heart bleeding?
